2021 Sami-Odi Hoffmann Dallwitz Syrah
Tasting Note
Deep and intensely aromatic, the 2021 Hoffmann Dallwitz Syrah opens with layers of dark cherry, ripe plum, violets, dried herbs and exotic spice. There is a remarkable sense of concentration, yet the wine remains poised and finely detailed.
The palate is silky and medium-bodied, carrying a core of black fruits, Chinese five spice, tobacco leaf and savoury olive notes. Fine, powdery tannins frame the wine beautifully, leading to an exceptionally long and persistent finish.
Powerful yet weightless, this is a profound expression of old-vine Barossa Syrah.
