Tasting Note
A beautifully mature expression of cool-climate Pinot Noir, showing remarkable depth and composure after nearly two decades in bottle. The nose opens with fragrant dark cherry, wild strawberry, and dried raspberry, gradually revealing earthy forest floor, dried rose, savoury spice, and minty-herbal complexity. The palate is supple yet deeply
structured, with layers of mature red and dark fruit supported by fine-grained tannins and refreshing acidity. Time has softened the wine’s youthful power, allowing its savoury and earthy nuances to emerge with greater clarity and sophistication.
Finish
Long and graceful, with lingering notes of dried cherry, forest floor, subtle spice and fine mineral freshness. A poised, savoury finish that speaks to both the cool climate and the wine’s considerable age.
Drinking / Cellaring
Drinking beautifully now and best enjoyed in its mature drinking window. Decant gently if required and serve with care to preserve its delicate tertiary character.
