2020 Gate 20 Two Single Vineyard Pinot Noir – Central Otago, NZ

Tasting Note
Elegant and perfumed, with a nose of raspberry, red cherry, plum, and warm spice. There’s a mineral undertone and a hint of earthiness that speaks to its Bannockburn terroir. 
On the palate, it’s finely structured: concentrated red and black cherry fruit, dried herbs (think thyme or sage), and a subtle savoury nuance. Tannins are firm yet refined, framing the fruit beautifully and giving the wine a long, persistent finish. 
There is both richness and elegance — this is a Pinot Noir that shows Central Otago power but remains poised and age-worthy.

Cellaring / Drinking Window
While approachable now, the structure and component parts suggest it could cellar for 8–12 years with graceful evolution.
